New thank you cards and coupons!
We felt it was timely to update the design of the thank you cards and coupons that will be included in the packages this month, we wanted a more abstract and special design. Although you really liked the previous coupons, we received a lot of positive feedback, we still felt that we had to change!

Should we have a UG Brandelt joke?!
It almost came naturally to us that we could make some really cool "goodies" (mugs, lighters, key chains, water bottles) for you. We have started planning for this and even if it is not a final product, you will definitely see these products soon as a test!
New direction, many questions
Due to a lot of research and continuous follow-up, our difficult situation with suppliers, which you could read about in last month's newsletter, is starting to be resolved. We have managed to get in touch with wholesalers from which we will be able to serve our customers with even more refined and higher quality products.
Although the headline says “New direction”, I have to say that the direction is not new, but exactly the old one that our store and then our website were based on. Unfortunately, due to procurement problems, several items that had no place there, neither in style nor in quality, were included in the product list. We had to realize that this direction is not right for the medium we represent!
And perhaps this is when the proverbial saying “less is sometimes more” becomes understandable.

Attention resellers!
There are only a few final touches left so that I can say that our reseller line has started. It is true that we currently serve several smaller "tourists" but it is no secret that we want even more, and everyone who is a market trader or Vinteděző! The concept will be simple, small bales - assorted so that only what you know will sell immediately will reach you! More information soon!
Interesting fact
More than 19,000 people visited our site this month, which is 4,000 more viewers per month than the previous month!
We had over 150 completed orders and ONLY 2 Returns!
Who was Basquiat?
And why is this important here and now?!

Jean-Michel Basquiat is a true icon in the art world. If anyone knew how to make an impact with a brushstroke or a graffiti, it was him. Let's start at the beginning: Basquiat was born on December 22, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York.
His father was of Haitian descent and his mother was Puerto Rican, so Basquiat grew up surrounded by two cultures. His artistic talent was evident at a young age, and his mother was a great supporter, often taking him to museums and exhibitions.
In the late 1970s, Basquiat began to immerse himself in the New York graffiti scene, creating works under the name SAMO (Same Old Shit) with his friend Al Diaz. These graffiti pieces contained provocative and philosophical texts and quickly attracted attention.
SAMO's "death" when The two artists fell out in 1980, announcing in a graffiti message: “SAMO IS DEAD.”

Basquiat's career really took off in the early 1980s when he met the famous artist Andy Warhol. The two had a fruitful relationship, creating works together and Warhol mentoring the young Basquiat. Although their friendship was sometimes stormy, Basquiat always held Warhol in high regard, and his death deeply affected him.

His works often dealt with social issues, politics, racism, and personal experiences. His paintings are chaotic and energetic, full of symbols, texts, and bright colors. Basquiat's distinctive style combines elements of primitive art, abstract expressionism, and graffiti.

His clothing style was as unique as his art. Basquiat often wore old, paint-stained clothes that almost blended in with his works. Sometimes he would opt for more elegant pieces, such as a jacket, but he always managed to maintain his individual, rebellious look. His hair was also iconic: his dreadlocks became a kind of trademark.

Sadly, Basquiat's life was cut short. He died of a heroin overdose on August 12, 1988, at the age of just 27. Since his death, his art and life have become legendary, and continue to have a profound impact on contemporary art and culture today.
Basquiat's legacy lives on: his paintings sell for huge sums of money, and his style and story continue to inspire countless artists. He was a true genius who changed the art world and whose work will remain a topic of conversation for many, many years to come.
